Yeah, I know I haven't blogged in 100 years, but whatever! I'm going to try to start again. Being pregnant is hard work, and when I type all day at work I don't feel much like typing when I get home. :)
I'm about 7 MONTHS PREGNANT now! We're having a little girl... Emilee Amber Bryson. I lovvvvee her so much. It's weird to think about how much I love her and I don't even know what she LOOKS like yet! Ryan and I are sooooo excited to meet her!
Along with the excitement lately I've had a little bit of anxiety, too. It's not too bad, I just started to get NERVOUS once I realized how soon she will be here. I'll be 31 weeks tomorrow, and my doctor said that it's safe to have her anytime after 36 weeks (and really, that I should expect her to come anytime after that point - more likely closer to 38 to 40 weeks, but STILL). THAT is SOON!!! My baby shower is in about 2 1/2 weeks. We're doing a pretty-purple-lavender-silver-girly-lacey-beautiful theme, which will also be the theme of her room. The invitations turned out really cute. I forgot to snap a picture, but it's similar to this idea we found on Pinterest: http://pinterest.com/pin/110450583/
We used a white doily on the outside and the paper inside was lavender, and we used a dark purple ribbon to tie it all together.
We're going to decorate with lacey stuff, purple flowers, and purple & silver tissue paper poms. I'm really excited to celebrate EMILEE with all the ladies I love.
After I either get the bedding at my shower or buy it after the shower, I'm going to see if my dad wants to help me paint the room (so that I can match the shade to the bedding). Probably just a really light lavender color. I decided to keep the bedding simple:
Then I'll be able to add whatever I want to it. I'm going to do mostly light purple/lavender stuff like the bedding and I'm going to do sliver as an accent color (and probably white and a dark purple as an accent, too). I will probably incorporate butterflies into the theme. I thought it'd be fun to do a chandelier and possibly this christmas-lights-behind-a-sheer-curtain effect like this (pinterest, again) maybe on the wall behind the crib:

It's really fun to be planning for a girl. I always wanted a boy and then Nae & Seth gave me 3 of the sweetest boys in the world as nephews. Now we're ready for the GIRL! :) Emilee & the upcoming birth and her room and our life once she's here are the things that have been consuming 95% of my thoughts lately. I really need to figure out what is going to be best for us regarding my job after my maternity leave is over. Ryan is such a wonderful provider and he has been blessed in his job. I am SOOO thankful for that, and for him. I don't know if we can afford our house payment and a new baby and all of our medical insurance on one income just yet. We shall see! I will have a little bit of time to figure it out while I'm on leave, but I'm going to be busy!
